FORTUNA 1G2 was especially developed for the modern generation of downsizing engines.
The special combination out of base oils and additives helps to significantly reduce the so-called LSPI
(low speed pre-ignition).
In the LSPI, the gasoline-air mixture ignites spontaneously in the combustion chamber, even before the ignition spark occurs. This can lead to engine knocking and serious engine damage.
Due to the LSPI problem, this engine oil was developed and is prescribed by Opel and General Motors for certain models.
FORTUNA 1G2 engine oil meets the new and tightened General Motors specification Dexos 1 Generation 2.
This engine oil has been developed exclusively for gasoline engines.

FORTUNA 1G2 is not suitable for diesel engines.

Miscibility

FORTUNA 1G2 is fully compatible with conventional HD oils and can be mixed if necessary. In orderable to fully utilise the advantages of FORTUNA 1G2, however, the use of FORTUNA 1G2 is worth recommending.
